Luxury holidays in Hammamet

An introduction to Hammamet

Luxury holidays in Hammamet are like sunning on the French Riviera but a little more hot and exotic. With its ancient Medina and fort perched on a small peninsula, wide swathes of golden sandy beaches and a lively, cosmopolitan ambiance Hammamet is a gentle introduction to the continent of Africa.

Exclusive holidays in Hammamet are all about the lifestyle. Acclimatise in the new Sidi Bou Hdid cafe, a real favourite with tourists and locals alike. Relax against the oversized colourful cushions and quench your thirst with some refreshing mint tea with pine nuts. Act like the caterpillar from 'Alice in Wonderland' and sample a range of flavoured tobaccos in a bubbling hookah. Hail a horse-drawn caleche and cultured up at the Hammamet International Cultural Centre. You'll find it located in a beautiful Moorish villa built in 1925 by Georges Sebastien. Wander round the cool, lofty rooms and admire the exhibitions of modern art and craftwork on display. The villa is set in lush, tropical gardens just like the 5 star hotels that line the beach.

Make your luxury break in Hammamet really special and stay at the Riu Park El Kebir. It has its own Thalassotherapy centre. So leave your worries at the door, get wrapped up in some rejuvenating seaweed and indulge in a tension-evaporating massage. With miles of shimmering sand toasted by the hot African sun and lapped by the warm waters of the Mediterranean, you may wish to extend your stay.

The 'Tunisian Saint Tropez' is just the ticket for a really luxurious holiday.
